Growing up, writing was one of the easiest ways to express myself. If I understood what was taught in class, it often reflected in whatever assignment I was given. I would rather write expressively when asked to explain the meaning of Something and this helped me a lot because I noticed whenever I couldn’t write properly on something, it meant I didn’t really understand it. I soon started writing other materials like short stories, stories people would tell me as a child. Then went forward to writing poems in literature class.
It just came to me. It was easier to express myself on paper the in face-to-face conversation. Far forward to after secondary school, my friend inspired me. I remember seeing his work back then and telling myself I could do it. Then I took some courses online to help me focus my skills. The first writing job I got was from my neighbor. She had a friend who wanted to start a Clothing brand at the time and was looking for a content writer. I took the job and impressed him. Then I went on and on. Writing for me is like an escape. It feels like uncovering hidden facts or mysteries.

Best Advice for Aspiring Writers in Nigeria
When it seems you don’t know what to write or where to start from, and you’re almost feeling frustrated, take a break. Do what you love the most at that moment. Make sure you feel refreshed and energized, then get back to work afterward to start writing again.
