Centre for Information Technology Development
The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) is set to host Ambassador Habu Abubakar Gwani Ibrahim for the maiden edition of its Leadership Reflection Interactive Series (ILERIS) in Gombe State.
The ILERIS is a semi-formal event in which guests speak about their lives from primary school to the present, for about an hour bringing our key challenges they faced, key decisions they took, opportunities they converted, mistakes they might have and lessons they have learnt after which the audience have an opportunity to ask questions. The audience is made of students from institutions of higher learning and select youth activists/leaders and CSO leaders in the State.
Recent past Guests include: Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), Executive Governor of Ekiti State Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, Deputy Governor, Kano State, AB Mahmoud SAN, OON, Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Hajiya Saudautu Mahdi, Executive Director, WRAPA, and Special Assistant, PNCEI, etc.
The choice of Ambassador Habu Abubakar Gwani Ibrahim is no doubt a right peg in the right hole. In the words of CITAD’s Executive Director, Dr Y. Z Ya’u: “Ambassador is one of these people with compelling and inspiring story of hard work, success, leadership, integrity and achievements.”
Foreign Service of Nigeria
Ambassador Habu Abubakar Gwani Ibrahim joined the Foreign Service of Nigeria in 1985 and served in various departments in the ministry of Foreign Affairs and some Nigerian Missions abroad. In the course of his career, he served in several Nigerian Missions abroad, namely, Switzerland, Gabon, Canada, Zambia, etc. He received several awards including but not limited to YUSSA Anti-Apartheid Award, Nigerian Swiss Resident Association Award, NIDO America Award, etc.
